New members can sign up at any time. The amount due for the first year will be prorated $1 per month from May to April, starting two months after the Spring Picnic. If a new member joins prior to that time, the full $12 will be due.

Dues from existing members will be due no later than two months after the spring picnic. If the dues are not received by the due date, the member's privileges will be denied. This includes, but is not limited to, removal from the membership database, top 10 list, and denial of any member related discounts.

Existing members who pay after the due date will be required to pay the full $12 membership fee plus a $3 late fee.

Conduct:
NYCCDSM members are expected to represent the club in a respectable and mature manner at meetings and events, as well as in our internet forums and on our mailing list. Immediate cancellation of membership privileges will occur if a Member's conduct either at a NYCCDSM event or on the message board is found to be in violation of the following guidelines:

• Display of disruptive or abusive conduct
• Engaging in violent and/or criminal activity
• Speech or action that creates an atmosphere of hostility, intimidation, or ridicule
• Assaulting, threatening, physically or verbally abusing or intimidating another person
• Acting in a way which endangers the health, safety or well-being of others
• Aiding, inciting, abetting or acting as an accomplice in the commission of any of the foregoing acts
